The cashew nut hangs outside and under a fleshy, edible false fruit
called the cashew apple, also known as the Marañón in Central America.
Once ripened, the cashew apple can be yellow, red, orange or pink.
The apple can be eaten fresh, made into juice, or distilled into
alcoholic beverages.
The cashew nut is native to North-East Brazil. During the 16th century,
Portuguese traders introduced cashew into India and African colonies.
From India, cashew cultivation spread across South-East Asia and became
one of the world's most important nut crops.
Our cashews are carefully selected, processed and packed under strict quality standards. We offer multiple grades suitable for retail, wholesale, food processing and export applications.
